Top mathematician gives Loughborough talk

Leading mathematician Sir Michael Atiyah will give the inaugural Sir David Wallace Lecture on campus next month.

The lecture Solitons in Analysis, Geometry and Physics takes place on Thursday 13 March from 5.15pm in the Wolfson Lecture Theatre and is being hosted by the Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Sir Michael has many awards, including the most prestigious prizes in Mathematics - Fields Medal in 1966 and Abel Prize in 2004. He is well-known to be truly exceptional speaker.
