Loughborough swimmers claim titles at National Championships

Loughborough swimmers have won nine titles and secured 26 medals at the 2014 British Gas Swimming Championships in Glasgow.

The event, held at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre - the venue for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, also provided the swimmers with an opportunity to record 'consideration' times to impress the selectors.

Fran Halsall claimed a hat trick of titles and won five medals.  Fran retained her 50m Butterfly and 50m & 100m Freestyle titles.

In 50m Butterfly there was a Loughborough 1-2-3 with Amy Smith and Rachael Kelly joining Fran on the podium.

Roberto Pavoni also won three titles, winning the 200m Butterfly, and the 200m & 400m Individual Medley events.

Georgia Davies won the 100m Backstroke, Dan Fogg claimed his third consecutive 1500m Freestyle title, and Rachael Kelly swam a personal best to take the 100m Butterfly in 58.40.

Full details from the Championships can be found on the Loughborough Swimming website.
