Although GARNET is an independent initiative of the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council, it relies on the assistance of other agencies in its activities. Some of these are listed below.

Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC)
The Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council was formed at the end of the United Nations International Drinking Water and Sanitation Decade (1981-1990) to provide a framework for collaboration between sector agencies in both developed and developing countries. GARNET forms one of the networks of the WSSCC.
WSSCC Vision 21 initiative
InterWATER aims to help you find sources of information about water and sanitation in developing countries. It is maintained by a group of partner institutions in the water and sanitation sector under the auspices of the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council
