Faculty Purchasing
Lynda Langton

This is a developing role, the introduction of which has been delayed due to the delayed implementation of the new Finance System. The intention is that I become a key purchaser, under the auspices of the Purchasing Officer. The aim is to support departments within the Faculty when making major purchases(not IT purchases) to ensure that best purchasing practice is followed, and that appropriate purchasing legislation is adhered to (e.g. EC Procurement Legislation). It is proposed that procedures within the new Finance system will ensure my involvement in any such purchases.
