Harry McKendrick – Aston Martin Lagonda

BSc Ergonomics

Assigned to the Health and Safety Department as an Ergonomist, Harry had the authority of a Senior Engineer. His primary project was to enhance the ergonomic status across the Aston Martin Lagonda business.

He was involved in a wide range of activities, including the DB11 virtual build – ahead of the implementation of the new model’s assembly line.

His enthusiastic input transformed pre-production, ensuring improved safety and efficiency. Longer term, his approach has been adopted by the company when assessing the ergonomic aspects of their assembly processes.

Harry’s work contributed to the British Safety Council’s decision to award the company its fourth Sword of Honour in recognition of its endeavours to ensure workforce safety and well-being which it described as “world-leading and exemplary”.
