Snooks is the first British ski and snowboard outerwear brand created by women for women.
Spotting a gap in the market for stylish, functional snow wear for women, co-founders Susie Beere (Sociology, 2012) and Sophie Kelly (Economics with Geography, 2013) – tired of having to buy gear designed for men – decided to create their own.
Their first range has been well received, and their commitment to manufacture high-quality garments in the UK has paid off.
In 2016, they won a Leicester Mercury Women in Business Award and the Baldwins Accountants’ KickStart Award, with further accolades from BoardSport Source and The Telegraph.
Sales are driven through e-commerce, independent retail partnerships, pop-up shops and an in-resort Brand Ambassador programme. The company’s new digital marketing role is supported by Santander Universities.
Snooks will graduate from the Studio in September 2017 – relocating to the French Alps.
