IMCRC appoints new Director - March 2009
The IMCRC welcomes Professor Andrew Baldwin as its new Director. Andrew has been appointed to lead the Centre over the next two and half years, a critical period in the Centre's life, shaping strategy and guiding the Centre through the challenges that lie ahead. Andrew replaces Professor Phill Dickens who has recently been appointed Loughborough's Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise.
Professor of Construction Management, Andrew brings extensive industry experience to the role and a strong academic background. He has worked with leading contractors and engineering organisations on major civil engineering projects as well as the development of management information systems for construction organisations. Andrew has held senior academic positions at various institutions, including Dean of the Faculty of Construction and Land Use at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Head of Civil & Building Engineering at Loughborough University.
Andrew takes up his new role on 1st March 2009. Commenting on his appointment, Andrew said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead the Centre's activities, to build on the Centre's research success and to ensure that the findings of the research teams are widely disseminated to both industry and academia."
