 Thank you to everyone who attended the Seminar on Tuesday 2nd February.
The Seminar was opened by Prof Andrew Baldwin, Director of the IMCRC, who gave a thought-provoking account of the economic climate in which we work. Andrew highlighted the increasing importance of impact in research (economic, social etc) and that researchers must look at this bigger picture in their work.
Helen and Steve from the IMCRC Researchers' Committee presented results of the questionnaire. The feedback has enabled the Committee to propose a standard seminar agenda as well a calendar for future events - both of which can be viewed from the link below. Any comments are welcomed.

Martin will be providing an overview of the importance of industrial collaboration in research, including working with industry and project funding. Followed by a question and answer session.
About Prof Martin Goosey
Martin is Industrial Director of the UK's Innovative Electronics Manufacturing Research Centre (IeMRC) and has over 30 years experience in the electronics industry. Martin's work has, for the last ten years, focused on environmental issues impacting the electronics industry and he has been involved in addressing the impacts of legislation such as WEEE, RoHS, EuP and REACH. He routinely provides training in the UK and abroad, including work in Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan and Taiwan. He has also participated in UK Trade Missions in Europe and Japan related to end of life electronics and recycling.
