IMCRC Advanced Manufacturing Research Dinner - Wednesday 19th October 2011
The event was organised to mark the completion of the IMCRC, the start of the new Loughborough EPSRC Centres for Innovative Manufacturing and the transition to a new era of Advanced Manufacturing Research at Loughborough. It attracted over 120 guests from industry, academia and the EPSRC.
Commencing with an exhibition of Advanced Manufacturing research and Loughborough's involvement in the new EPSRC Centres for Innovative Manufacturing, guests were able to meet, network and discuss Loughborough's research activities.
The evening concluded with a three-course dinner and the Sir John Gains award was presented to IMCRC researchers in recognition of their exceptional contribution and impact, along with awards to undergraduate students for their success in the IMCRC-supported ENSURE scheme (Summer Undergraduate Research Experience).
