The Counselling and Disability Service's ethos in working with colleagues

One of CDS’ key aims is to work collaboratively with colleagues to support staff in developing and inclusive learning and social environment for all students. Making a referral

On occasion you may want to refer a student to CDS (perhaps to the Disability Office or Mental Health Support Team). We would always encourage staff to discuss this with the student in advance and if possible to encourage the student to self refer. Students involved in the referral process generally engage with support more positively.

Referring to the Disability Office

To refer a student directly to the Disbaility Office, please email disability@lboro.ac.uk or phone 222770.

Referring to the Mental Health Support Team

To refer students to the Mental Health Support Team please email mhst@lboro.ac.uk or phone 228338. Read more about referring to the Mental Health Support Team»

Referring to the Counselling Service

Please note that it is not possible to refer students directly to the Counselling Service. Students should instead be given contact details for the service and encouraged to make an appointment. Find out more about how you can support a student to access Counselling»
