 MEng degree course

EAP aircraft The design of airframes, engines and systems continues to offer exciting and challenging work for highly motivated and well educated graduates. The MEng programme is primarily designed to provide the foundation for a career in the aerospace industry, and is accredited by The Royal Aeronautical Society and The Institution of Mechanical Engineers, as the first step towards later acceptance as a Chartered Engineer. However, some students have exploited the strengths of the programme to find employment outside the aeronautical industries.

The MEng programme has been designated by BAE SYSTEMS as a Preferred Undergraduate Course. BAE SYSTEMS selected the course on the basis of "'the current content and quality of the course, the facilities available to students, the approach and commitment of the staff and the general standard and outlook of the course graduates".

The MEng is a four year course, with the option of making it into a five year sandwich course by spending a year in industry.
