Flight Testing Course

 jetstream aircraft

Before commencing their third year, students do a short course in flight testing. This course uses the Cranfield University Jetstream aircraft, to carry out flights from East Midlands Airport. All students make four flights as flight test observers. During each flight, an experiment is conducted, and the students observe and record the results of the experiment. After landing, the students analyse the recorded data. All of the experiments are designed to provide a practical demonstration of topics covered during the BEng course.
