Research and Innovation opportunities

Our ambition is for all research and innovation active staff to develop rewarding, successful and impactful portfolios of work. We provide an enabling environment to support research and innovation in the following ways:

  • Individual advice, guidance and feedback on funding sources, grant writing and applications from our Research Development Managers and Partnership Development Managers
  • Monthly Research and Innovation drop-in clinics in the School
  • Highly successful Sponsorship Mentoring scheme available to staff at all career stages
  • Action-orientated research and innovation skills workshops, covering cross-cutting research themes and sharing insights from previous successes and experiences
  • University staff development programmes covering all aspects of Research and Innovation over the project lifetime
  • Facilitated sessions for staff in the School and across campus to collaborate in response to specific funding calls
  • Support for travel to attend funder events e.g. UKRI networking meetings, regional engagement events led by funders
