Comparative and Transnational Sport and Leisure Policy
Work under this theme incorporates work principally by Dr. Mahfoud Amara and Professors Henry and Houlihan, and focuses on the local, national and global context of governance, management and policy-making in sport and leisure.
It incorporates critical and strategic policy analysis for major bodies such as the Council of Europe, UK Sport, and Sport England, collaborative work on sports policy with partners in universities in France, Japan, and Norway. and the generation of research publications. Five full time and one part-time PhD students are currently being supervised working on projects under this theme.
