Research Associate

Gemma Mitchell is a Research Associate in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences. Her current research interests focus on feeding problems in children and the development of resources to support parents who are experiencing difficulties around mealtimes. More generally, Gemma is interested in the development of aberrant eating behaviours in the early years and adulthood and factors that can contribute to overeating and obesity.

Prof. Jon Arcelus, LMS, MSc, FRCPsych, PhD is a consultant in Eating Disorders Psychiatry and a Visiting Professor at the Loughborough University Centre for Research into Eating Disorders (LUCRED).  He works at the Leicester Eating Disorders NHS Service, one of the biggest eating disorders services in the UK.
