Exercise-induced bronchoconstriction in athletes

Nilam has screened University athletes from the hockey, football and futsal teams for exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. She employed a eucapnic voluntary hyperpnoea test and an exercise challenge test in the laboratory, along with several lung function tests. She also analysed some genes in relation to blood collected from the exercise challenge. Her work involves collaboration with both chemistry and human biology departments at Loughborough University. She is currently writing her PhD thesis.
