PhD student


Nicola studied Sports Therapy at undergraduate level in partnership with the University of Bath. She then completed her MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Science with Staffordshire University.

Working in Further Education colleges, Nicola has provided e-learning support to staff and students. In her most recent role, Nicola has been a Virtual Learning Environment Administrator and curriculum link to the Sports, Health and Creative Studies faculty.


Project title: Academic assessment of TASS funded athletes 

External Activities:

Nicola has completed practitioner research in association with the Research Development Fund project of the Society of Education and Training and the University of Sunderland’s Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training (SUNCETT). Her research explored the experiences of introducing a blended learning programme in a Further Education college from student and staff perspectives.
