Jack completed BSc. and MSc. degrees at the University of Birmingham between 2009 and 2014 before moving to Loughborough University in 2014 to start PhD studies. His PhD studentship is funded by the NIHR Leicester-Loughborough Diet, Lifestyle and Physical Activity Biomedical Research Unit.

Project information

High intensity exercise and metabolic health

Jack's research focusses on the use of exercise in the prevention and treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), particularly its effects on liver fat percentage and insulin sensitivity in a variety of tissues including the liver, adipose tissue and skeletal muscle.
