Emily’s thesis aims to widen the knowledge that currently exists on Dual Career Athletes. This is defined as individuals who simultaneously strive to achieve goals in sport and academia or a vocation. Emily is currently working on a systematic review of the literature and an interview study in conjunction with TASS.

During her Masters degree, Emily also conducted research into athlete eating disorders with her then supervisor Dr Carolyn Plateau.
