SSEHS PhD students to facilitate session at BPS workshop
Two PhD students from Loughborough's School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences will be facilitating a session on developing personal and team resilience at a forthcoming British Psychological Society (BPS) workshop.
The event, which takes place on Friday 25th April this year, will explore leading-edge research of positive psychology to the application of strengths and resilience-based approaches in sporting contexts.
Titled "Developing Mental Strength: Applying Positive Psychology in Sport", the workshop is intended for sport psychologists (in training, as well as professional practitioners) and sports coaches with an interest in the application of positive psychology principles in sport.
Scott Bradley and Dr Piers Worth from Bucks New University will be leading the workshop, while Loughborough's Mustafa Sarkar and Paul Morgan are facilitating a session on developing personal and team resilience. Sarkar and Morgan are both members of the School's Sport Psychology Research Group.
