Loughborough University's Communication Research Centre (CRC) has hosted a large number of students, scholars and internationally distinguished visitors over the years.

We have also worked closely with a range of funding bodies, charities and the public sector. Projects have included research in communication studies, discourse and social interaction, and culture and media.

Academic Visitors
The Department welcomes post-doctoral scholars, collaborators and academic visitors who have a joint project with staff members.

We can offer use of a shared Visitors' room, with e-mail, computing facilities and use of the University Library.

There is a University application procedure for Visitors, but in the first instance, please consult with the member of staff with whom you would like to work.

External Research Bodies
The Department welcomes enquiries from bodies in the public or private sector who may wish to initiate a joint project with staff members.

Previous projects have included work with the news media (especially the BBC and the Guardian, on election coverage and other political and cultural reporting), consultation with mediation services, child counselling helplines, and general social-sience methods training.

In the first instance please consult our staff pages to identify the person with whom you would like to work.
