Megan Rivers-Moore

Megan Rivers-Moore is a PhD student in the Faculty of Social and Political Science at the University of Cambridge.
Her dissertation explores the discourses and practices of a variety of social actors participating in the sex tourism trade in San José, Costa Rica, including the state, NGOs, sex workers, sex tourists and expatriates who migrate to Costa Rica in part because of their interest in purchasing sex. Her research interests include a variety of different kinds of mobility, including migration for sex work, tourism to Latin America, and the connections of both to broader global processes, powers and subjectivities.
