Promoting photographic practice to an international audience through the initiation of innovative and creative multi-disciplinary projects, IRIS undertakes a wide range of activities including education, community, conferencing, curatorial and editorial work.
We have an established working relationship with a range of partners and as such are always open to new ideas and opportunities.
Recent Iris exhibition programming has featured both national and international artists both early career and established. Our exhibitions provoke debates about contemporary photography and how women approach the conventions and theories accrued around this medium. Themes are broad, aiming to engage new and diverse audiences through strategic educational activities and outreach programming.
