Facilities
The School of the Arts provides a variety of well-equipped specialist facilities that include flexible teaching spaces, spacious studios, traditional workshops and laboratories along with the latest in creative digital equipment, visualisation labs and digital printing facilities. These facilities are configured as five 'hubs' (see below), each offering a wealth of traditional and new creative technologies.
Highly-trained technical staff support these facilities and enable users - from Foundation and undergraduate students to postgraduates, research staff and professional artists and designers - to make the most of the opportunities we provide to develop their practical ideas through flexible approaches to materials and making. We are particularly adept in supporting hybrid projects that demand interaction between traditional disciplines and specialisms.
