School staff
Paul has been with Loughborough University since 1998 and is currently working as the Assistant IT Systems Manager. His role exists as part of a small team, and he is managed by the Director of IT, Phil Wilkinson-Blake. His role involves systems implementation, management and support of both hardware and software to academic, research and secretarial staff.
Paul has extensive knowledge of Novell and Microsoft client/server platforms and is actively involved in the analysis of software to support teaching and research activities within the department. This includes helping staff to be aware of the IT resources available to them and maximising their use of IT services via training sessions and documentation.
Whilst working for the School, Paul has obtained Certified Netware 5 Administrator (CNA) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) status. He has also studied several undergraduates degree modules via the Open University.
