Lecturer in Management Science

Rupal joined Loughborough as a Lecturer in Management Science in 2011. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Leicester University, an MSc in Statistics from Nottingham University, and a PhD (sponsored by British Telecom) in Operational Research from Warwick University.

Rupal's interest is to develop and apply operations research models and methods to study problems related to revenue management. Her current research focuses on using reinforcement learning methods to dynamically price perishable products for industries such as the airline and telecommunications.

In collaboration with BT, Rupal was awarded an EPSRC Industrial Case Award (£90,000) to fund a PhD project.
