Professor of Information Systems
Michael is Professor of Information Systems within the School of Business and Economics (part-time) and also Professor of Information Systems at the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Michael's research interests are in the areas of qualitative research methods in information systems, and the social, organizational and cultural aspects of information systems. His work has been published in many journals and books.
Michael served as President of the Association for Information Systems in 2006-2007, as Senior Editor of MIS Quarterly from 2001-2005 and as Senior Editor of Information Systems Research from 2008-2010. He continues to serve on the editorial boards of various journals. He is a Fellow of Association for Information Systems.
