Expertise: entrepreneurship; student mobility; entrepreneurial activities.

Maxine worked for universities in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands in various international roles before joining Loughborough as Singapore Programme Director in 2003. Since 2013 she has been the School’s International Programmes Director. Her teaching is mainly in the area of small business, entrepreneurship and innovation and in the past she has also taught international business.

Maxine’s research interests lie mainly in the field of international education (specifically student mobility) and the development of entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviour. Her PhD topic covered the development of entrepreneurial attitudes through study and work placement abroad.
