Professor of Accounting and Finance
William has previously worked at the Universities of Exeter, Bangor, Manchester and Glasgow. His early work was in the area of the regulation of mergers and corporate control.
More recently his research has focused on market-based accounting and valuation with a particular focus on the new-economy. His research spans both statistical/econometric issues in valuing firms and policy issues raised by the new economy.
He teaches courses in financial accounting, valuation and financial statement analysis.
Recent publications have been in Financial Management, European Financial Management and the Journal of Empirical Finance.
