Dr Kai-Hong Tee BA, MBA, PhD
Lecturer in Finance
Kai-Hong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a BA in Economics and General Mathematics.
He has previously worked in the Property Investment Marketing/Consultancy profession and has had experiences in dealing with Singaporean and international properties in China and Australia, in both the residential and commercial sectors. Kai-Hong also has a MBA (with distinction) in Finance from Leeds and a PhD (finance) from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.
Kai-Hong has also worked previously in Glasgow Caledonian University as a Research Fellow and University of Aberdeen as a Lecturer in Finance.
His current research interests are investigating the asymmetric risks and efficiency of performance of Managed Futures, Hedge Funds and UK Investment Trust Funds, using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) technique.
He is also keen to explore the hedging effectiveness of the Financial Derivatives instrument and to study the effectiveness of currency (portfolio) strategy for conditional hedging purposes. His secondary research interests include Empirical Investigation of the Singaporean housing markets and Empirical Studies of the effects and the implications of Annual General Meeting (AGM) on UK Stocks’ returns.
