Doctoral Researcher in Information Management

Rui Zhao started her PhD in April 2015. She obtained a BA in Business and Management from the University of Exeter in 2013 and a MSc in information and Knowledge Management from Loughborough University in 2014. Her doctoral research is a cross-disciplinary work; it focuses on knowledge sharing in the context of supply chain collaboration.

Research Interest:

Knowledge Sharing, Trust, Supply Chain Collaboration.

 

Research Plan:

Rui’s research aims to investigate the interrelationship among institutional forces, trust, and knowledge sharing in the context of supply chain collaboration (SCC). The objectives of her research are:

  • To investigate whether members of SCC exhibit different behaviours towards inter-organisation trust building and knowledge sharing behaviours because of the influence of institutional forces.
  • To explore whether institutional forces influence knowledge sharing indirectly through trust.

This research uses case study incorporating a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods.
