Doctoral Researcher in Marketing and Retailing

Rachel joined the PhD program at Loughborough University in January 2014, after being awarded a research studentship. Rachel is a member of both the Marketing and Retailing group, and the Centre for Service Management at Loughborough University.

Rachel currently plays for Loughborough University 1st team in Squash.

Qualifications:

MSc Marketing and Management (distinction) from Loughborough University, winning the School of Business and Economics award for Best Overall Academic Performance, 2013

BSc Sport and Exercise Science (with professional placement) from the University of Bath, 2010

Research Interests:

Brand equity, consumer psychology, consumer behaviour, marketing strategy, modelling and anticipating patterns of brand purchases and brand image.

Research plan:

To model patterns of brand purchases and brand image to gather insight into the way consumers use memory and cognition to drive brand choice. More specifically, the interest is in comparing the role of memory structures and cognitive processing in the choice of goods compared to services brands.
