Top-2 success in The Sunday Times University Guide
Loughborough has been ranked 2nd for Finance & Accounting and 2nd for Management in The Sunday Times University Guide 2012, released on 11 September 2011.
With 2011 marking 40 years of management education at Loughborough, the latest rankings for Finance & Accounting and Management further cement the reputation of the School of Business and Economics as a leading centre of business and management education in the UK, having also consistently received Top-10 rankings from The Times, The Independent and The Guardian this year.
The Guide is compiled using a number of different measures, including student satisfaction, teaching excellence, research quality, degree results and graduate employment.
Loughborough University’s overall ranking leapt to 11th place, confirming its position among the UK’s leading higher education institutions. In the individual subject tables, Loughborough was rated Top-10 in fifteen subject areas.
Commenting on the rankings, Vice Chancellor, Professor Shirley Pearce, said: “We are delighted to have risen to 11th in the 2012 Sunday Times University Guide. It is recognition of Loughborough’s all-round strength, reflecting the quality of our education, our first-class research and the exceptional student experience we provide at the University.”
