New School of Business and Economics at Loughborough
9 August 2010
Led by Professor Angus Laing, Dean of Business and Economics, the new School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University combines the Business School, Department of Economics and the Professional and Management Development Centre into an integrated School, positioning Loughborough as a leading international player in research and teaching across management, business and economics.
Says Professor Laing: “We are a school that is operating at the cutting edge of academic research in key areas such as Microeconomics, HRM and Marketing, but one that is also intimately engaged in the world of practice and committed to making a difference – to students, practicing managers, policy makers and organisations and, ultimately, to shaping the global community in the 21st Century.”
Officially ‘opened’ on 2nd August 2010, the new School is also celebrating the launch of its new website, which features new entrances for Economics, Business and Executive Education, as well as an integrated menu at the left. We invite you to please browse through the new site and let us know what you think.
Later this year we will be throwing a launch party for our external stakeholders and friends – watch this space for news and photos.
