First year SBE student chosen as finalist for TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards

First year BSc International Business student Caitlin McDonald has made it through to the finals of the Undergraduate of the Year Awards organised by TARGETjobs.

This annual competition has a variety of categories sponsored by big-name companies including L’Oreal, Rolls-Royce and Marks and Spencer.

Caitlin is in the Top 10 of the Management Undergraduate of the Year category sponsored by Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Caitlin applied back in December and has had to complete several different stages to get this far. She made it through to the Top 50 based on her application form and CV. A telephone competency interview then took her through to the next round, which was a sponsor-led assessment centre. Upon completion and success, she is now a finalist who has been invited to the award ceremony this coming April 20th, held at Canary Wharf, London where she will meet the employers and gain the opportunity to network with senior business leaders and top graduate employers.

The winner of this category gets a ten-week summer placement with Enterprise including a week in their USA headquarters where he/she will experience all aspects of the business from marketing to finance and sales, as well as valuable networking opportunities.

We wish you all the best, Caitlin!
