SBE staff nominated for multiple accolades at the Postgraduate Awards

A number of SBE staff members were nominated for multiple accolades at this year's Postgraduate Awards, with many being either short listed or highly commended. The evening provided a night of reflection and celebration of the outstanding achievements of the postgraduate community and the staff that have supported them over the last year.

Dr Louise Cooke, the Head of the Information Management discipline, received a highly commended teaching award for 'Outstanding Delivery' and was nominated by her students for inspiring teaching and her willingness to go beyond her duty to help them.

Dr Cooke expressed her delight at being given the award:

"I was thrilled to be nominated for this award and to be given a Highly Commended award. It is all the more pleasing when the nomination is made by students and to know that they have enjoyed and benefited from my input into their programme. To provide an excellent learning and teaching experience for all our students is always the aim here in the School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University, and it is great to know that the students appreciate this!"

Others from the School of Business and Economics who were shortlisted included Dr Simona Rasciute for her 'Contribution to Student Development' as well as 'Outstanding Delivery'. Additionally, our Research Administration Officers; Tracey Preston and Aly Howells-Chivers were shortlisted for the 'Unsung Hero' award as well as a 'Contribution to Knowledge' nomination for Gaby Wolferink. Finally the Centre for Service Management team were shortlisted for 'Postgraduate Team of the Year'.

It is brilliant to see the work and support of so many SBE staff members recognised!
