Masters student Peace Proscovia wins at the Goalden Globe Awards 2017

Peace Proscovia, SBE MSc Marketing student and Loughborough Lightning captain, has won several awards at the Goalden Globe Awards, held on 16th September.

The Ugandan captain, who began her masters' studies in 2016, has been hard at work to balance between leading her team in the Superleague and the requirements of her study.

She won three major awards this season, including Vitality Netball Superleague (VNSL) Star VII for being Goal Shooter, Players’ Player of the Season and Vitality Player of the Season. Her talents, skills and passion for netball also contributed to her team placing top of the Superleague.

Her accolades did not end there as she was also entitled the Gilbert Netball Goalden Shot Award after she showcased her shooting prowess with a staggering 812 goals this season.

Speaking after receiving her awards, Peace said:

"I’m really overwhelmed with joy, and these awards mean a lot. It means that I still have something great to do in this country and for my country. Most of all, I have to thank England Netball for giving me the opportunity to be here and to be able to play in a team."
