Loughborough University rises to 6th place in Times Higher Education ‘Table of Tables’

Published on the 12th October, the Times Higher Education ‘Table of Tables’ ranks Loughborough University in 6th place, the biggest riser in the 2017 results placing ahead of 80% of the 24 Russell Group Universities.  

The ranking of a university in the Table of Table’s is based on the combined results of the three main domestic university league tables, these being the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, The Guardian University Guide and the Complete University Guide.

Loughborough is now the East Midlands’ top university according to our national university rankings including 4th place out of 119 universities in the 2017 Guardian University Guide, our highest ever league table ranking. We also rose to 7th in the Complete University Guide 2017 and 11th in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017 as well as being shortlisted for the paper’s prestigious University of the Year Title and winning University of the Year for Sport.  

Professor Robert Allison, Loughborough’s Vice Chancellor commented on the news saying:

Our performance in this year’s league tables is recognition of the breadth of Loughborough’s strengths and our excellence right across the board. It reflects the quality of education we offer, our world-class research and innovation, and the exceptional all-round student experience we provide at the University.
