International Business student nominated to be a 'Founder of the Future'

Dom Matcham

Dominic Matcham, final-year International Business student, was one of an elite group of young entrepreneurs invited to attend the 2016 Founders of the Future event at 10 Downing Street.

The Founders Forum is a networking event which has been running for 10 years, connecting young entrepreneurs who are starting out on their journey with some of the world’s leading entrepreneurs, CEOs and investors in technology.

Dominic had been nominated by Economics graduate Andrew Fisher, Executive Chairman of Shazam, whom he met at a Centre for Information Management Distinguished Speaker Series event earlier this year. Andrew put Dominic forward as a leading light to attend the event last week based on Dom's innovative business ideas.

The event was organised around talks from a selection of inspiring entrepreneurs such as Ajaz Armed, founder of AKQA, and Michael Acton Smith, founder of Moshi Monsters, and afforded the opportunity to network and form relationships for business advice and mentoring going forward.

Investors have met up with Dominic since the event, interested in helping him develop his business going forward as he prepares to graduate from Loughborough. We wish Dom all the best in finishing up his degree here at Loughborough, and with his very exciting future post-degree.

Dom has said:

I would like to thank all those at the Business School and Student union Enterprise Centre who continue to help and support me. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Loughborough University. It has been an incredible student experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a university education.
