Management Sciences student Sahil Jhamb is trying to reach the Santander Universities 60 Second Pitch finals with his innovative project ‘myIndia’ and needs your vote to help him secure a place.

Click here to vote and to find out more about the 60 second pitch finalists.

Sahil’s project is a social enterprise project from the Enactus society which is working with the Russ Foundation in South India to help unemployed women develop vital business skills through selling Biomass Briquettes in the local area.

Biomass Briquettes have been developed to combat the deaths caused by using firewood and charcoal as a source of fuel. The briquettes are environmentally sustainable and provide a source of income for women. The product is non-profit, with everything earned reinvested into expanding myINDIA and Russ Foundation programmes.

The Santander Universities 60 Second Pitch Awards identify and support great ideas and start-up businesses. Once selected as a top ten finalist, projects need to secure votes to help select the winners of the prize money and Santander support.

Voting closes 28th August.
