Professor Oshri shortlisted for Best European Research Paper

A paper co-authored by Professor Ilan Oshri, Director of the Global Sourcing Research Interest Group at Loughborough University, was named a finalist for Best European Research Paper by Association of Information Systems and CIONET, the largest CIO Network in Europe.

At the awards ceremony, held recently in Brussels, Ilan’s paper came 2nd Best in Europe out of 30 nominated papers.

The CIONET European Research Paper of the Year Election identifies the European research paper that embodies excellence in both rigour and relevance of research. In order to promote the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge among professionals and academics in the area of information and communications systems and technology management, the CIONET European Research Paper of the Year acclaims a yearly best research paper with first and second prize winners. 

All European authored research papers that have been published in the two most prominent world research journals are automatically nominated.

Prominence of journals is determined by their five-year bibliographical Impact Factor and acknowledged by the Association for Information Systems, which maintains a ranking of information system research journals. The two most prominent research journals are currently the periodicals Management Information Systems Quarterly and Information Systems Research.
