Exemplary results for Singapore 2015 graduates

It is celebrations all round for the latest graduation cohort from the Loughborough University-PSB Academy business degree programmes.

Not only did the cohort of 46 students achieve an unprecedented four first-class honours degrees but two students, Janice Pay and Wilfred Hong also topped the rankings for the whole Loughborough University School of Business and Economics – that is the top two places in a cohort of 470 graduating students.

Wilfred who studied BSc. (Honours) Business Studies with Banking and Finance, won the Final Year Prize for top student in Singapore, and Janice, who studied BSc. (Honours) Business Studies, won the Nimal Wijayaratna Prize for the best student in marketing.

Wilfred who works as a Dealer at Philips Futures Pte Ltd said “balancing work and study on a part-time program is a challenge, but the Loughborough – PSB program has helped me to link academic insight with practical workplace issues."

Janice who works at S T Electronics (Info-Comm Systems) Pte Ltd as a Sales Support Engineer, said “to achieve these results is a great honour and recognises the fantastic encouragement that I have been privileged to enjoy from my family and my work colleagues, together with support from all the course tutors and administrators. The Loughborough – PSB program really does go the extra mile in bringing the experience of an international faculty into our studies”. She added “anyone can study from textbooks but what really differentiates a degree is the extent to which the tutors can bring cutting-edge research into the classroom. I was fortunate to have picked a great place to study”.
