Whether you want to climb Mount Kilimanjaro or plummet 13,500ft doing a charity skydive with Rag; work at a local school or help with community projects with Action; or be on TV with LSU media, the union is guaranteed to have something for you.
With over 100 societies, 55 sports clubs, a state of the art media department with it’s own TV station, radio station recording studio and student magazine, and an incredible night club venue, you really are spoilt for choice at Loughborough Students’ Union.
The fundraising arm of the Students’ Union, Loughborough Rag, is one of the most successful student fundraising organisation in the country. In 2013-14 it raised £1,411,510 for local and national charities, breaking its own national record.

Loughborough is internationally renowned as the UK’s No.1 university for sport. Home to a wide variety of elite athletes and national sports governing bodies, Loughborough was the official preparation camp for Team GB ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games.
The ethos of Sport is part of Loughborough’s DNA as a university. However, you don’t need to be an elite sports person to come to Loughborough. In fact, you don’t even need to like sport. If you do however, we cater for all levels and encourage you to get involved.
