Global perspectives on collaboration and shared services in higher education - forum 22 April 2015

Loughborough University will host a forum on collaboration and shared services in higher education on Wednesday 22 April 2015.

Aimed at senior business managers, the event explores what UK universities could learn from the global efficiency agenda, offering insights into public sector practice in the USA, lessons on 'co-petition' from retail in the Far East, plus a case study on a new project to model the costs and benefits of collaboration between UK HEIs.

Andrew Rothwell and Ian Herbert at the School of Business and Economics will also launch a new executive report which explains how the shared service phenomenon is more than just about headline cost savings and asks how it might work in higher education. The report will also be available for download from www.efficiencyexchange.ac.uk.

The forum is supported by the Efficiency Exchange, CIMA, Chazey Partners and Loughborough University.

The Efficiency Exchange enables higher education professionals to discover and share good practice to advance efficiency, effectiveness and value for money in universities. The Efficiency Exchange service is delivered by Universities UK in partnership with Jisc, Leadership Foundation and HEFCE.
