Robin Sickles giving a talk

The Centre for Productivity and Performance operates at the methodological interface between economics, management science and operational research. Its research agenda focuses on the development and application of rigorous methodologies that can support both private and public sector decisions and policy makers in evaluating and improving the performance and choices of firms, organisations and individuals. As such, we provide a full spectrum of rigorous and relevant research capabilities related to the measurement, understanding, promotion and improvement of productivity and performance.

The Centre is strongly placed to research and advise sectors such as health, education energy, water and in a variety of other potential application areas where policy makers must incentivise decision makers to improve performance, while also balancing competing objectives that must be addressed with limited resources, and often in the presence of uncertainty.
