Paper of Prof. Kusmartsev was published in Nature Communications

Together with collaborators from Maryland University (USA), Beijin University and Chinese Academy of Sciences Prof Feo Kusmartsev has discovered a new type of superconductivity – vector superconductivity. See the paper published in NATURE COMMUNICATIONS from 20 May 2015.

The paper presents numerous experiments taken with material named “Spinel” (shown in picture), whose propertirs are well described by the theory developed by Feo Kusmartsev. The vector superconductor has similarity with both low temperature and high temperature superconducting materials, but at the same time behaves like a magnet. This discovery opens a new class of superconducting materials, which may have a broad range of applications, e. g. for high sensitive magnetic sensors.
