BSc from The Engineering Department at Leicester University. Over twelve years industrial experience including: GEC, The Boots Company, Unilever Engineering, Babcock Bristol Ltd as senior systems engineer and Head of Data Acquisition Section, and Klippon Micro Systems Ltd, as Systems Manager. Joined Loughborough University in 1987, Completed PhD in 94.

Research Interests and Activities

Areas of interest include:
Use of data mining techniques to improve information access on the World Wide Web.
Links between Science, Engineering and the Arts in a wide range of application areas ranging from kinetic sculpture to the still and moving image.
Documentation of the application of sports technology in the preparation of elite athletes.
