The Social Programme of the 1^st ICoVIS comprises a mini-reception on 19 July, a visit to City of Lincoln and Lincoln Cathedral  and the Conference Dinner (21 July).

Lincoln is a well preserved medieval city in the East-Midland possessing magnificent architectural heritage, centred on its world famous Cathedral and Castle.

                         

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lincoln Cathedral, one of the finest gothic buildings in Europe, is highly regarded by architectural scholars; the eminent Victorian writer John Ruskin declared, "I have always held... that the cathedral of Lincoln is out and out the most precious piece of architecture in the British Isles and roughly speaking worth any two other cathedrals we have."
