Product Design Engineering Students win Siemens PLM Design Contest
It has just been announced that Katie Long, a 2nd year Product Design Engineering student from the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering, has won the monthly Siemens PLM design contest for October.
The Siemens PLM monthly student design contest is open worldwide for all students using the Siemens PLM NX or Solid Edge CAD software. Winning the contest is a great accolade and Katie will receive an iPad mini as a prize.
Over the last 3 years 7 students from the Wolfson School have had their entries selected as a winning image in the Siemens Student Design Contest. The students have all used work from their 1st year coursework from the Product Design Visualisation module demonstrating a consistently high standard of work. The earlier winners were: Will Fazackerley, Matt Goodley, Alston Cheng, Rob Hartley, Alison Herbert and Vedanti Shah.
