University awards scholarships for academic excellence

Students were awarded scholarships for academic excellence at a celebratory dinner on 19 November, in recognition of outstanding performance in undergraduate study.

These prestigious awards were presented to the highest performing undergraduates in each School, in each year of study, with the exception of the graduating year.

The Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching), Morag Bell, presented twenty five students with a certificate and a cheque for £500 at the dinner held in the Council Chamber of the Hazelrigg Building.

Also in attendance were the Deans and Associate Deans of Teaching from each School and members of the Loughborough Students’ Union Exec team.

Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching), Morag Bell, comments: “The scholarships for academic excellence reward students who have performed exceptionally well within their School and year of study. These awards are designed to recognise and celebrate their outstanding achievement.”
